PRIVATE HOUSE

The outer envelope is clad in timber to reflect this wooded setting. Doors and the opening elements of the windows are expressed as solid timber panels. Adjacent and in other areas, frameless glazing has been used to open the interior to the outside and frame particular views.

The outer timber cladding has been brought into the interior to blur the boundary between the internal and external further.

There are a selected range of renewable services which coupled with high levels of insulation will result in a low cost sustainable property for years to come. The accommodation of the house has been arranged to provide mostly ground floor rooms for life time usage, however the master suite is currently found on the first floor.

The stairs have been designed as a ribbon of timber. The solid ash treads are cantilevered from the curved wall.
