This extension of an existing medical centre provided additional GP consultation rooms at first floor level. The practice was located in an area of relative depravation where security had a direct impact on design and selection of materials. The additional challenges here were to limit the impact of building work on two functioning surgeries, building over a minor surgery unit whilst working to a very strict timeline, all of which were achieved.
