The main house is detached with a modest garden. The client was keen to retain as much of the existing mature shrubbery and tree to maintain a screen of privacy.

The summer house is therefore arranged around this criteria providing a play-room, wc and garden store. The building form and detail foundation design are conceived to mitigate root damage and the structure itself wraps around one of the retained trees and respects the mature planting to the rear.
